I wish I could say that we had all the canvas out and were running 'fore the wind, but this was only the two mains (or main and fore?) without the tops and sweeps. Harbor sails go by way too quickly.

I'm pretty sure that I was lying on the deck when I took that. It was one of those I'm gonna look like a weirdo, but this is gonna be great! moments.

Is that the boat we sailed on in Salem?

The third was taken during the cleanup of the DNC. It's pieces of the temporary structures erected in and around the Fleet Center that were waiting for further disassembly.

Thanks. ^^

The funny thing is that this was the only angle that produced an effect like it. I've another dozen or so shots from the same day and none of them are near as striking. They manage more of an industrial rather than a mathematic feel.

Thanks much. The second is in the mix primarily as a color experiment, and I think it's been pretty handily overshadowed by the others. What's been fun has been watching reactions from folks drawn to one or another. I like the interplay between the organic and the structured... and from here I could babble a lot without making a whole lot of sense. ^_^
