"Conversation" looks like it could be something... sexy.

It's all about where the mind takes you. ^_^

I've been trying to get over my shyness around taking shots of strangers. Little by little, I'm going to pull my experiments out, and hopefully a few of them will be worth sharing.

I like this one too. ^_^

Thanks much. What are you seeing?

They gave me a very</a> funny look after I got the shot.

Whenever I take shots of strangers they often have no clue that I'm photographing them.

I haven't quite mastered not being seen. I'm assuming that will come with more practice.

I think right now I look a lot more like Farley in Beverly Hills Ninja than Neeson in Batman Begins.

Maybe you could get one of those fedoras with a "PRESS" sign stuck through the band?

That reminds me... I really must apply for a new MBTA photo permit.

Thanks. I had been shooting random people talkng, but here I had a hunch that I should shoot down. I'm very happy with it.

Ah, but is it fabulous, smart and sexy? If I get the triumvirate, my work here is done. ^_^

I can't answer. If your work is done, you won't post more.
It makes me want to write a story, if that means anything?

Oooo... tag team artsy. You're up.

I'm joking, really. I feel kind of like I'm just starting to figure out what I'm doing. As I was saying to Pete this morning, it's like I'm learning something new (albeit tiny) with every pic I take. I love it.

Seriously...would you mind if I did? I'm finding that I'm addicted to flash-fiction, and pictures work great as prompts.

I wouldn't mind at all. Create away.

No worries there. My own vocabulary is hopelessly inadequate. I still have no idea what the difference between dodging and burning is. I think they have to do with lightening and darkening certain areas of the frame, but I might be talking out my butt here.

Incidentally, I make liberal use of cropping in the event that my framing isn't quite what I had hoped when I shot. Both of these were not exceptions.

Thanks. ^_^

Echoing the chorus, I really like "Conversation."

What about it strikes you?

Initially, the unexpectedness of its being a photo of just the lower legs of the people. Photos so often focus on faces, but here you have a whole lot of communication going on in the body language of the legs. It forces the viewer to imagine the rest of the people. At first glance, I thought it was a woman (in the pink shoes) talking to a man, because of the strong planted aspect of the feet in the black shoes. But further viewing leads me to think the black shoes also belong to a female (the cut of the pants is so similar to the pink-shoed gal's). Regardless of male or female, I imagine the black-shoed person to be standing with arms folded across their chest, listening to the other speak, perhaps nodding. The one in pink I see in great detail: she is Asian, her body is bent slightly to the left at her waist, her right arm at her side, and her left arm bent as she gestures while she talks, and she is in partial profile to you. I am left with an impression of a whole lot going on, even though it's just the feet.
