Boom boom boom boom - A little less than a happy high

Boom boom boom boom
There are times when the heavens open and I can't keep myself from walking out into the downpour. The impulse comes and before I know it, I'm walking down the street breathing in the rain-heavy air and marveling at the power of the storm. I stood for a good ten minutes at the corner of our street watching the wind whip the flags on the Common and the play of lightning on the Charles.

Now, I'm wet.

Current Music: John Lee Hooker

Yes, some people forget that the rain can really make you feel alive.

Don't forget wet. It's an important consideration here... ^_^

It was even hotter when I was in the storm and tossed my head back, sending a spray arcing from my dark, dark curls.

Good music choice too. *grin*

Personally I prefer reveling in the glory of a storm from underneath a dry overhang, but that's just me.
you go wet man.

See, that just makes sense. When the spirits ride, I can't control where they take me.

And I thought I was the only one who went INTO storms to revel in the rain. And yes, the wetness caused thereby.

(We had an actual storm today, instead of mocking clouds that refused to burst. Yay, rain!)

When I do this, I can't help but think about the scene from Big Trouble In Little China:

"A brave man does not fear the elements upon his face..."
"Yes! But a wise man knows enough to get in out of the rain!"

'Course, I tend to think about scenes from that film a lot.

Oh, I wish I could've done that today! We had *amazing* rain, but I was trapped inside orientation meetings *sigh*

It wasn't the brightest thing I've done, what without a change of clothes and all. Still, I was better for it.
