IF THEN ELSE - A little less than a happy high

IF THEN ELSE
If box pasta and sauce-from-a-jar are the sweatpants of cuisine, then Top Ramen is the food equivalent of turning yesterday's underwear inside out and wearing them again.

Three guesses as to what I ate last night.

...And no, I didn't try to improve it with the addition of an egg, miso paste, tofu or chopped green onion. It was straight up, unadorned and boring long noodles in "oriental" flavored salty broth.

Why else would I have written this?

Sometimes I get really sick of cooking enough food for the entire week on Sunday evening and I'll end up eating Ramen or food in a bag.
If I'm feeling REALLY fancy, I'll pour out the overly salty broth.

I miss grilling, and I managed to leave sputnik on the porch for the duration of our (very mild) winter. I'm guessing its perfectly fine, but there is a danger that the leftover ash formed a corrosive paste that has been eating away at its inards.

I need something bigger anyways.

I have been thinking of buying a grill. But then I get worried what might try to take up residence. I have squirrels in my walls, the El Bandito Grande's on the porch and HoboKitty walking around.
Is the fear of finding a chipmunk living in my grill worth it?

Oh, and that "corrosive paste" gives the food flavor.

They're pretty well sealed, though a clever raccoon may well be able to pry his way into it given sufficient motivation.

Thanks. I laughed out loud, and this seemed a fitting tribute. I'm currently contemplating animating the whole exchange.

I remember my mathematical proofs... kinda.

I've just started reading QC, and it's cracking me up.

Top Ramen can suck it. But Ichiban? I could eat that all day.

You should go to the asian grocery store and pick up some interesting ramen noodles =)

That's the worst part of it. I have Iciban in the house. I chose Top Ramen.

I used to eat Top Ramen pretty regularly in college... I still have a fondness for the stuff.

Man, am I regressing again?

I'm actually pretty fond of it once it's been dressed up, but I had no tools and less inclination.

I think I would have a hard time being so focused with my selection of userpics. Though I can see Pintsize images easily being versatile enough, I think I'd suddenly get bored one day and blank all of them.

Emos would be delicious!
