Attack of the Clones - A little less than a happy high

Attack of the Clones
It takes a special kind of man to pull off a striped pastel polo shirt with khaki pants, especially when the ensemble is finished with a thin brown braided belt and narrow loafers with tassels. Clearly, as I have never managed the "middle-aged white guy casual" wardrobe, I am not this kind of man.

I am the kind of man who sees three men who clearly don't know each other standing in queue and all working this look (albeit with minor variations in colors and belt-width) and thinks the scene is utterly hilarious.

Depends on timing. What'd you have in mind?

I didn't realize the brown braided belt thing had been in at all since around 1993 (the last time anyone I know wore one).

It's alive and well amongst the tasseled loafer crowd

People like that kind of scare me.

They remind me of a movie from the 80's though I can't recall the name or the plot.
Maybe it wasn't a movie and just a dream I had.

I don't know.
The point is, scary. Funny and kind of sad, but scary.

Sort of like everyone is Principal Rooney from Ferris Bueller's Day Off?

That is a scary, scary thought.

I think I was more imagining a bunch of 80's Rob Lowe clones in the measure of Multiplicity. Where the fourth iteration is drooling but still, Michael Keaton looks like he wants to eat you.

Or something.

I'm seeing ... the line at that bagel place across Tremont from Park Street?

Just watch it's like Hubba Hubba in Central Square or something.

I was at the Manchester airport yesterday at lunchtime. My spooky mind powers are available for blackmail and birthday parties. No refunds.

*snortle*

As you may be able to tell (from my Moments), I am the kind of woman who sees this sort of thing all the time and laughs and laughs...

I knew you'd appreciate it. I love the absurdity of the everyday.
