That's big
Over the past three days, I have come across no fewer than five utterances of the term, "Brobdingnagian." While I do appreciate seemingly underutilized verbiage, I can't help but wonder if this represents a sly attempt to reclaim the superlative from the eXXXtreme!!! crowd.

Come to think of it, most of these were in relation to "Pötterdämerung," and I'm still curious where that one originated. Seems sinspired has been using it since before the announcement of the pre-sale, but I suspect that it's something that grew from the fandom far earlier. Any insight on this?

[Aside: If an HP:DH death was just spoiled on my flist, I will be most displeased.]

I stole it from damiel, who I thought had coined it, but evidently it's more widespread than I thought. I don't recall it before this spring, though.

The earliest useage of Potterdamerung that I have come across was in m15m (Movies in fifteen minutes) It was a script compression of the third HP movie (well the one with the dementors in it anyway).
