This shot, complete with my own hanging shadow, is notable solely for being my first butterfly shot not taken in an enclosure, and for being taken with a fully manual Nikon film SLR.

Even though the Blue Ridge Parkway was filled with them, I'm not sure how many more lepidoptera pics forthcoming. We did a lot of driving, had a lot of barbecue, but shooting suffered a little.

I do recall that your air conditioning was normally on between the hours of 9am and 6pm.
Man does your car know how to aircon a soul.
