That's exactly what I thought.

Put a staple on, and suddenly I'm wondering if it should be part of the permanent record. You know what that means.

I'm sure I've never stapled a sticky note, but I do use them to add notes to documents. Usually it when the person for whom the document is meant isn't around to talk to in person.

That's fine, and I do that myself. In this case, the document was left in my box while I was at my desk, with a stapled post-it and without the envelope it came in.

Perhaps they are adhesively challenged.

Or mechanically inclined?

Buh... overcompensation?

There's a certain OCD quality about it.

We have cheap-ass ghetto sticky notes that curl off after about 5 minutes on a document. Perhaps your office has the same?

Alternately...TARDZ!

More fun are the post it arrows that end up everywhere. For the life of me, I can't figure out what they thought was important.

The arrows are so much fun!

Agreed. I put them all over my face and run through the office screaming "LOOKATMEEEEEEEE!!!"

With enough of them, you look like you have feathers.

Actually, the only time I've run across this has been from Managers and above, the admins are the ones who usually have to remove them for said managerial staff.

I have no idea *why* you would staple a sticky note. I'd just want to staple the same note to their forehead. *KERCHIK*

Awesome. I think I'm going to return the next one with a post-it stapled to it that reads, "Please remove this note."

If I ever got busted or if I knew someone who got busted for an important sticky note that got lost in transit, I'd probably staple them henceforth too. That's right, I'm blaming you.

Are sticky notes ever supposed to be important?

Another example - this one has only my name on it stapled to a document that was left in my box by the person who just delivered it.

Who knows what anyone with his own office thinks is important? Have you ever forgotten your name in front of co-workers?

Only when I pick up the scent of an incoming process server.

I'd say they were being passively aggressively annoying. Something Pablo would do and get a chuckle over watching me struggle to remove the staple without ripping the paper.
