The EWA (English Wormwood Ale) and the Red Ninja Alt * have completed their fermentation runs and both will need to be bottled in the next couple of days. Pablo and I spoke yesterday about getting at least one bottled tonight, so if you're interested in assisting with the process or otherwise just hanging out, drop me a line. Rides can be provided where necessary.

Incidentally, the two empty carboys mean more brewing this weekend or next. I'm open to suggestions for the next project(s).

* EWA is taken largely from the recipe published by Stephen Harrod Buhner in his "Psychotropic and Highly Intoxicating Beers" chapter. I chose an English ale yeast that tends to leave a fair amount of soluble sugars and provide something of a apple or pear nose. I figured the very bitter wormwood would need something that complex to go along with it.

The Red Ninja Alt is the first beer I dsigned on my own from the ground up. Granted, I stayed within the general specifications for a beer of that type, but the recipe is entirely mine. Here's hoping that both came good in the face of my fevered brewing two weeks ago.
