A little less than a happy high
Save Creepy Voicebox Guy!
There's now an online petition in protest of the December 1 ban on horns, mics, and amps in T stations.

Go. Sign.

Update: There's apparently more that can be done that will probably have a greater effect than the online petition. Check out the Street Arts and Buskers Advocates page.

I Did It!

I signed. The musicians are so ambient, I can't imagine taking the T without seeing them. It's one of the few things left that remind me of the way Boston first enthralled me when I came here 10 (jesus, it's been a long time)years ago.

Thank you so much for posting this link.

Re: I Did It!

I don't know how much good it will do, but it makes me feel marginally better. My general reaction right now is disbelief that the powers that be have the stones to take a swipe at the arts at the same time they're planning on raising rates.

Would it do me any good to sign it, seeing as how I'm not in MA?

Dunno. On the one hand, you're not part of the commuting constiuency. On the other, the performers are one of the things that give the T its unique charm for visitors. Use your best judgement?
