I can always tell when I am genuinely ill when I am willing to sit through an entire episode of Martha Stewart's Living without finding the motivation to change the channel.

On the upside, I now know how to make Yorkshire puddings and some simply fabulous gift bags.

I love watching that show strictly for the psychology that's revealed. When she has guest stars on, it's the best. She invariable ends up talking down to them.

Don't I know it. The woman who was on to show how to make the pudding also made a rib roast. When it came out of the oven, Martha dropped that she almost never eats meat. There was something of an uncomfortable pause because she sounded as though she was sneering as she said it, so she quickly followed it up with, "but I'm sure that this is wonderful.

Do you remember SNL's "Martha Stewart's Topless Christmas Special"? That was comedy gold.

It was priceless. It was entirely deadpan, with "Martha" speaking about making Christmas ornaments (or somesuch) with two blurry spots over her bippies.

I'm sure it will re-air on Comedy Central at some point, and you do have the gift of TiVo...
