Having never seen a "Friendster" testimonial, forgive me if I sound too much like one.

Things that strike me about you: You have a great appreciation for the arts/an artistic sensibility. You're very charming. You take great pleasure in doing things for friends.

Hard questions: What do you see as your best qualities? What are your worst? What's your biggest fear? What's your greatest hope?

Perhaps it is time to create a crack team of aesthetic commandos.

I think you've been beaten to the punch there: Have you seen Queer Eye for the Straight Guy?

I have, and other 'reality' shows like it, and I have to say that I'm not overly impressed with the choices that they make. I also take issue with the idea that one who is gay is somehow the superior aesthete. It just perpetuates stereotypes about men, both gay and straight, that aren't terribly flattering.

I don't always agree with them, either, I was just taking off on your notion of "aesthetic commandos."

I also agree with the folks who've said you should i.d. yourself as a potter. You may not be a master, yet, but potting is within your soul.

It will happen when the time is right.
