A little less than a happy high
komos
komos
Old timey sasparilla
If all goes according to plan, and assuming that we have a reasonable facsimile of the necessary herbs in time, the headliner for Sunday's brewing session will be genuine, old-fashioned, homemade root beer. The second brew is still TBA, but I am leaning towards trying my hand at a Belgian Tripel. Can you resist the call of the mysteries of non-alcoholic drinks paired with Belgian decadence and sexy cheese?

More seriously, if you can make it, please do come. I could really use the company.

How cool.
The more you post, the more I wish that a) we lived on the same coast as you, and b) we were part of your circle of friends.

(Um, by we I mean Fuzzy and me, I'm not being all wannabe Royal or anything)

Thanks, but y'are part of my circle of friends. ^_^

The left coast thing is an interesting hurdle, but I've a feeling I'll find my way back out there at some point. With any luck, I won't be feeling overwhelmed on the next go around.

Should we make an interpretive puppet for you and set it up to enjoy the festivities?

Marionettes?

The last time we made hand puppets out of paper bags to replace people as they disappeared into the bathroom. It was funny in an eerie "body snatchers" kind of way.

I assume you'll want pictures?

The first person it happened to was very confused by the totally lifelike paper bag fascimile he found in his chair.

I'll see what I can do. ^_^

Yay bag puppets! We should make lots, and leave them around the apartment to taunt the Master of Puppets. Maybe fabulous-twenty-something puppets swarmed about his liquor.

- needs more sleep

I like it when I come across it when I'm hiking. Sure I look weird chewing on a stick, but it's so tasty.

You've *absolutely* got to save a bottle of the rootbeer for me!

If Alan funds this expedition, it's possible that all of the product may leave with him. From everything I've seen, though, it's super easy to put together and ready to drink pretty much the same day.

I hate rootbeer like you hate disney! Tell me of the second...
Omar loves it, though.

I just dislike that our children are being raised in a narrow mythology created by a ruthless businessman to support his vision of a perfect society.

The second will likely be something akin to Leffe - a golden Belgian style ale with a mild flavor and a silky smooth mouth.

On tap is the English bitters I brewed a while ago. It's a copper colored session beer. It's lightly carbonated and boasts a sweet mouth with a slight lingering hops bitterness. I'm told it smells like honey.
