More proof that nigh on anything can be a weapon
This morning I woke up with what I think was a splinter of a down feather rib stuck in my finger. It never occurred to me that my down pillows could be dangerous*, but I got stuck good enough to warrant an iodine dousing.

Bloody nuisance.

I probably would have weathered it better had my sleep been a little less tormented. No work today, my pretties. I seem to be suffering from the same affliction as J-.

*...at least not without the direct action of an outside agent with a taste for smothering.

I do actually. It's actually a pretty decent pillow that came fully equipped.

Tonight, cook_ting characterized my work as "hating lawyers professionally," and it wouldn't have been funny if it weren't at least partly true.

On the other hand, he shared that apeyanne started reading me and thought I was some artist or art student or something. It gave me some hope.

I hope you're well, too.

You do recognize that, as someone taking art classes who loves to make beautiful things and explore creativity, you are an artist and an art student, right?

Hope you feel healthier soon.

Shhhh! Tell no one!

I'm actually much better now, thanks.

Ah, yes, feather splinters. I have also had Snowball's hair impale my feet; actually, I'm not sure if it wasn't a shedded whisker - it went from one end being really thick and stiff to thin and supple at the other. BTW, I'm home, again, too. Care for a phone call?

Bah... if you had the inclination, you should have just called. I didn't do much.

I did try calling, but I got no answer? Were you on-line a lot? Weird. What are you up to today? I'm gonna be home working on a school project, and I could certainly take a break to talk to you :-) I'll try calling you this afternoon (whether I hear from you before then or not).

Yay, no work! Me too. I love having Fridays off. :)

Weekends should be three days naturally. Elsewise, weeks should be filled with things we love.

You know it's a bad day when even your pillow's turned against you.

I know. That played a large part in my decision to give work a miss. The only thing that waited me there was more pain, so I stayed home and watched The Searchers instead.

Re: missing

I've come to the conclusion that I have a love/hate relationship with "here." There's a lot that I love about it, but there have been one or two things that I look at and shake my head. Mostly, it just depends on my state of mind.

Thanks. I'm starting to get better, though it surprises me a little just how sickly I've been this season. The going theory is that I'm still in the process of healing from the Dark Times, and that my immune system has been compromised as a result. I could also take better care of myself (tell no one!)

So tell... where have you been and what did you see while you were there?
