A little less than a happy high
It just stopped
At about 8:25 tonight, I was sitting at the wheel trying to throw underneath Afro-Brazilian beats framed by occasional vocalizations by Woo-Girl, my world suddenly went silent.

This wasn't the silence of Flow, where all else around you fades into non-importance. This was the silence of death, where there is no sound because something truly terrible has happened and any sound would just be superfluous. It just stopped.

I've been in a state ever since.

May I inquire what 'it' is?

Who knows. Perhaps I had myself a little psychotic break.

Well, that doesn't sound like a good things, all in all. :(

Best wishes, and if there's anything I can do to help...

On a similar note, what're you up to over the weekend? Is there a schedule of better/worse times to potentially drop by and chill?

This weekend's pretty well snookered. Next weekend should be wide open, though, and I'm thinking I might bottle/brew again.

The following weekend is BeerSummit, which reminds me... would you have any interest in working or otherwise attending?

In principle, definitely; in practice, I'm out of town that weekend. (Next weekend as well, so no brewing for me.)

I'll have to catch the next one, I suppose.

I still need to get your book back to you as well. When can we make cheese?

Mmmm, cheese. Well, the next two weekends are out; I'm out of town. Post-that, which gives us time to sort it out and buy ingredients if needed.

I mentioned your loss of sound to Laurel and she immediately said, "He should get checked out by a doctor." Once she said it, I realized how obvious that was. Please, at least consider it.

Though it was freaky, I'm almost certain it wasn't physical. I had a sense of it around me, but it just wasn't registering. I'm not going to freak out about it any more than thinking it weird.

'Course, I could go with the psychotic break idea, but you didn't seem to think I fit the bill.

No, I still don't think it was a psychotic break... All the same, if it does happen again, then I'd start to worry in a big way...

You may be being far too literal. As I said, I'm pretty certain that this doesn't fall into a medical model.
