Burning House of Love

Three doors down.

Nehemiah 6:10 Afterward I came unto the house of Shemaiah the son of Delaiah the son of Mehetabeel, who [was] shut up; and he said, Let us meet together in the house of God, within the temple, and let us shut the doors of the temple...

I was a little weirded out when So- called yesterday. This morning, the curiosity and fascination set in.

its sad to think that someone's (either alive or passed on to the other side) memories, tied to those items are all that remains of those good times associated with those things...

But by the same token, they are only things. In the debris pile, there are chairs and lampshades and model trains and baseball cards. All of it is either void of or impregnated with meaning now because of the fire. The amazing thing is that people pick up after something like this and just keep going.

True, but isn't it the tactile sensation of things that rarifies or renders concrete the memory? Some believers in the paranormal suggests that the items themselves are charged with such memories..Available to those sensitive enough to pick them up.

Similarly, it's believed that it's major events that will imbue an object with that kind of memory. Many of these things were likely forgotten for years and suddenly, they are in view and given new life in their very destruction.

I think memory is best served by the less tactile. Tangible hings tend to have their own meanings inherent to their use.

This past weekend wildflowersoul was seen saying, "You think too much about things." So yeah. ^_^

Still, you seem to understand what I'm saying. The things that you've carried with you are those things that have meaning not in their use, but rather in what they hold for you. A personal symbolism, so to speak...

You know someone with a tattoo of a flaming, one-eyed skull trapped in a spiderweb, too?

Yeah, I have a hard time understanding the looney toons characters as body art. There's something about them that rubs my modern primitive the wrong way.
