It might not be a lot but I feel like I'm making the most

Never be put off by glazing - you get some of the best effects by just fooling around and trying different things.

What you have achieved is a far cry from the blobby stuff I used to achieve in primary school. ;)

One common effect that gets used to death locally is firing using green eucalyptus leaves. The oils in the leave affect the glaze and give it an irridescent mottled effect.

Oh, I've had the blobby stuff, too, and once recently. I have been a bit afeared of the process, but as I've gotten more familiar with it, that's abated. I've gone from struggling with strange liquid mixtures to trying to develop a color pallette. Seems a step in the right direction.

At my present studio, I'm a little limited in the effects I can try. I have to admit, though, that sounds very cool even if it is overused.

Well it gets a overused because getting hold of the leaves is so easy.

I also seem to recall that salt has an effect as well - but I can't for the life of me remember what it does.
