Is this a great country or what?
From a memo received on Wednesday: "In observance of the National Day of Mourning for President Ronald Wilson Reagan, all Executive Branch agencies will be closed on June 11, 2004. Employees who were scheduled to work on this day will be given a day-off with pay [...]"

If anyone wishes to join me in contemplating the meaning of the Reagan presidency, the effectiveness of the MBTA bag-search policy*, or the true nature of the February tomato**, please drop me a line.

*I wonder if it's occurred to anyone empowered to make decisions that if the search is limited to bags that they've instructed Very Dangerous PeopleTM where not to carry explosives/firearms/chemical agents/illicit substances?
**A subject very near to my heart these days.

Reagan was a pretty crappy president but if he could get me an extra day off, I'd vote his dead carcass into office again.

I won't argue with you, and I can certainly support the idea of a zombie candidate for the presidency. Somehow, a quest for brains would make more sense.

Off the top of my head, I would have said Mudflat, but I'll ask around. I'm assuming they're looking for a hands-on experience rather than just getting pre-made pieces to paint...

on another completely unrelated note-
can i tell you how aggravating it is when a video game puts the unlockables at the end of the game.
likewise, when you have to build up your character to such a degree to get a hidden weapon as to make said weapon redundant.
