In honor of the lies people tell themselves - A little less than a happy high

In honor of the lies people tell themselves
I am the Wandering Jew, and if you question me with the likes of, "But you're not Jewish..." I promise I'll put out both your eyes with two shards of the One True Cross that I won from an Irish Gypsy in a fiddle contest.

I have also now bedded most of the surviving Romanovs. Thanks to their remarkable devotion to certain secret Tantric rites, they're still spry and terribly willing. Tatiana was so happy with our encounter, she introduced me to a sect of Tibetan assassins who taught me Dim Mak, the mysterious death touch of the east.

Oh... and I'm a vampire.

Did I miss anything?

Current Mood: Feh.

Gosh.

You just divulged the plot of the last 5 books that I didn't buy. :)

Add in vampire with a monthly fur problem and you will cover just about everything...

Reading it over, I realize that I forgot to work in the Great Pyramid and the Yeti. I guess they'll have to wait for my further exploits.

Incidentally, I hope one of them wasn't Eco's Baudolino, because that was actually quite a fun read.

It was not Baudolino.

I have noticed that - thanks to my recent experimental dabbling in the area of bad fiction - there is a Buffy/mystery/romance/fantasy/history trend which combines all the very worst elements of all these genres.

All mixed together with suds to produce some truly terrifying fiction.

Wash cycle or spin?

Yeesh. At least it's easy to write... and utterly unmemorable.

Yup, like processed cheese

I would not mind so much if there was the occassional original riff on the various themes and genres involved.

Sadly, even the cover art is lacking in variety and imagination.

First, you must defeat a Yeti in single combat atop a crashed UFO. Then, all will be revealed...

But I did that! Just yesterday! CRAP! No one was watching!

Yeah, I'm afraid that the Ancient Order of Mysteries requires something of a spectacle. You might be able to get away with a mathematic proof that ties Nessie and the Great Wall with Atlantis/Mu, but I'll have to pull some strings.

You ARE immortal, right?
