I've got an S3 Savage4, which came as standard equipment with the Presario 5900Z-700. I've now had two programs tell me either that the card isn't functioning properly or that it's just not robust enough to handle their foo (perhaps not in so many words.)

My mainboard (also standard) is an aging FIC board with an AGP slot that I think won't handle anything beyond 2x.

That would be awesome.

Ok, cool.
If I remember correctly, I have a geforce2 sitting around that would be perfectly happy in a 2x agp. If I can find it, it's yours.
Course you'll need to do something for me in return... like show me how to do full grain brewing, as I've only done extracts till now. ;o)

Well, I understand in principle how it's done... I've been an extract brewer so far as well, but all grain sounds pretty easy, really. You just end up needing added equipment and a little more time for the extra step.

Got a 10-gallon pot? ^_^

ah, ok. so I'm not alone in all extract.
No 10 gallon pot and no space to have one it around here. ;o)

If you ever decide to upgrade, head to the kitchen supply store in Chinatown first. They have enormous pots for <$60.

...and panda mugs with a space for a straw. That place makes me happy.

hehe, nice!
I'd like to try it sometime, but from what I hear it's best done outside with a propane burner and a huge pot.

The first time I saw a turkey fryer, all I could think of was "BREWPOT!" Not sure it's big enough for all-grain, but it's a neat and relatively cheap set up.
