Well, that about sums it up

"Just a one fingered victory salute..."

(Ganked from an anonymous poster on sjc's space. Click on the picture.)

MORE: After a bit of digging, I've learned that the clip dates from 1998, near the end of Dubya's term of governor of Texas. His remarks and gesture were reportedly directed to Karen Hughes, his communications strategist.

That makes me sick. I just had lunch and this woman that I hate ate with me and she decided it would be a good idea to declare that she voted for Bush and she thinks he is a good man. There I am, a young, recent college grad (i'm even wearing my school sweatshirt) and she says that to my face. FUCK HER. FUCK THAT MONKEY PRESIDENT. ARG! It makes me mad. I can feel the blood rushing to my face.

She asked me if I thought Kerry would make a better president and I straight up said, "I think a three year old monkey would make a better president then Bush." I'm going to send this link to her with the caption of "A special message from Bush to you."

It's all just part of his frat-boy charm...

More seriously, I think Senator Kerry deserved to be elected on his own merits. That anyone couldn't see that is the product of the calculated character defamation that Rove and his radicals have used to such good effect. Dubya won this because there are too many voters who believe that liberals will kill babies, not because he's the better man for the job.

Getting flipped off by the leader of the free world seems to have that effect.

from a link in another LJ, which may need to be validated but apparentlu comes from an associated press article:

"In Gahanna (a voting precinct of Ohio, the key state in the election) 638 ballots were cast.

John Kerry was awarded 260 of those 638 votes, admittedly not a majority.

George W Bush was awarded, of those 638 votes, 4,258 of them giving him 3,893 ballots in Gahanna alone that were never cast by a human being."

That fills me with confidence. Really, though, I still think that Dubya would have taken Ohio without any sort of new fangled countin' machine glitches.
