The gentleman is always properly dressed

Colors explode

Today, I'm not hating spring. Oh, sure, I'm still grumbling over things like the curse that is daylight savings time, the scratchy throat I'm almost sure has something to do with allergies, and my general feeling of malaise at not being one of the "beautiful people." It's all ok somehow. I ran my hand over someone's lawn as I walked by this morning and came away with drops of dew on my fingertips. It was cool and sweet. As I rolled my fingers together, taking in the feeling, in some way tasting the dew without ever putting it to my lips, I was transported into a clarity where everything took on a greater reality. It was as though at that moment I had stumbled into a space where I could see the truer nature of things.

Not to worry, gentle reader, it soon passed. Still, having the sense of wonder got triggered is a powerful enough experience to change one's perspective for the day. The two-dimensional workaday world is suddenly lit with color and given depth. I get a glimpse of what it must be to really live. It's there, I can feel it... Now if I could just grab hold.
