While on the subject of brewing
Someone in Davis Square has homegrown hops for the taking.
I can't begin to tell you how happy this makes me.
UPDATE: I just found this handy guide to identifying hops varieties at the John I. Haas site. Seems Cascade and Willamette are quite distinct, and the Willamette tends to be harder to cultivate. I'm guessing that what this gentleman has available is Cascade (can you say IPA, boys and girls?), but it should be easy to tell once I see the bines and cones.
