Opening to the void
There is a temptation to clarify, to elaborate, and even to correct. Still, it would be the same conversation, and I'm convinced that the conversation itself was indicative of a dangerous pattern that was unlikely to be resolved as long as the conversation remained necessary. A perfect circle? The downward spiral? When understanding is incomplete, the space where it should lie begins to be filled with fear, with doubt, and with pain. In place of communication, there is reaction. In place of compassion, there is need. If there is a way in which we may be able to share mind/spirit/body, I can't help but think that reaction and need will stand in the way.
