The wheel will shape me

I had a plan, I swear

I talked last week about my very silly evening in the studio where I kept salvaging things out of failed experiments. At the prodding of clayrobeson, this week I bring you my modern minimalist vase, Mostly Used Toilet Paper Roll 1.

This had been meant to be akin to one of the sharp-shouldered bottles I saw a little while ago at Tokai, but I managed to make the neck walls way too thin. Things just sort of deteriorated until this happened. For those in the know, it's pictured here as leather-hard greenware. I did trim it a bit to even the lines and give it more interest. When it comes to it, though, it's just a squared off cylinder.

Hopefully I can glaze for character.
