I was thinking that rolling use of the kitchen would be something that the chair would have to manage. Dishes will be presented sequentially, so that will make some of the late prep a little more manageable. So long as someone isn't attempting to craft a souffle on the spot, we should be fine.

I'm hoping that the inevitable spectators and encouragement to not double recipes will alleviate and issues with excess food.

Passing the chair is a possibility, but I'm wondering if I should keep at it until it starts taking a life of its own. Have to discuss it with the participants once I've announced...

i agree that keeping the chair yourself for now could be helpful in keeping it going at the outset. of course you don't get a chance to show off your own mad skillz then. i'm not sure what to offer as far as prizes though. isn't honor enough?

we did have a souffle which definitely was an issue, though perhaps more one of the chef's sanity than anything else ;)

It also gives me an excuse to go out and find a really outrageous jacket...
