Back amongst the Easterlings - A little less than a happy high

Back amongst the Easterlings
We've returned to the lands where the sun rises on the right side of the ocean, and without too much incident. There was some question as to whether we'd make the connecting flight in Chicago since we were delayed in San Jose for want of runway, but it worked out ok. I'm noticeably jet-lagged* and have too much to do to think straight, but I am home.

Eventually, there will be photos from Hakone Gardens and Pier 39, and maybe even some thoughts** on the trip and on crazy ideas brought to life. For now, though, you'll have to content yourselves with whatever strange music is playing in your heads.

A big baby Jeebus shout-out to our gracious hosts. Y'all were awesome.

*I was asked yesterday if I ever sleep. I didn't have a good answer, but that may have had something to do with the lack of sleep that was noted by the commentary. I was reading about Project Pluto at the time. (Yeah, I've no idea...)
**Now, with less grousin'!

Something to think about.

If it had been used instead of shotguns, Dick Cheney's hunting buddy would have gotten a slap in the face instead of a facefull of buckshot.

I bet he still would have apologized, though.

I'll have you know, the beer burping startled the hell out of me last night.

I love coming home and being surprised by a beer that started working while I was away. Somehow, I never stop being surprised by the first signs of working.

Really, I just love having useful living things in my closet.

The venue was entirely Klae's choice.

I'm laughing, though. It reminds me a little of an easter egg hunt.
