It looks like there will be a cheesemaking/home dairy tutorial happening at my place this weekend. There's a definite plan for queso blanco, and then I'll probably attempt to put together some yogurt or mascarpone or something that will make use of the fermenting vessel.

Nothing terribly fancy... just wanted to toss it out in case any of you were interested in the process. Speaking of, I know that a handful of you will find this at least remotely interesting. It may even spawn fantasies of living off the grid or of developing marketable survival skills for the sure-to-come poxy-clipse and/or interplanetary homesteading.

Let's learn how to homestead and then apply for the next PBS reality show!

And please stop having lovely cheese and beer-making days when I'm busy.

It's been a long time since Colonial House. I need my fix.

There's always the option of scheduling something when you're available. Jes' tell me what you'd like to make and we can take it from there.

why does the fact that this place has a website seem funny to me? and where on the homestead does one check email?

If you want a true logical disconnect, Lehman's, which was founded in 1955 to serve "the local Amish and others without electricity" has its own site, too.
