How is it that after a weekend of brewing old ale and gruit, tending to the previously brewed porter and cider, cleaning and then mopping my kitchen, and helping B and Pablo move a couple of pieces of furniture, I still feel like I've accomplished nothing this weekend?

Don't mind me, though. I'm just passing through here before I go get stuff for a beef & barley soup.

I'd rate that as a weekend of accomplishment, by any measure. How was the brewing?

You know, I still feel like I was a schlub all weekend. Maybe I just missed something crucial?

The brewing went extremely well, though two batches can leave a heck of a mess in its wake. I still think its funny that there's so little work in the actual brewing. Instead, everything hinges on the pre- and post-brew janitorial work.

Do you have a bottle of the Old Ale you've been sitting on? Snow last week says it's time to drink it.

Hmm, unless it was in the box you gave me, no. I think that was full of zero hour brew, though.
