Sightings - A little less than a happy high

Sightings
Holly Brewer of Humanwine was at the Diesel this morning when I stopped in for beans and an iced Vietnamese. I did NOT go all squeeing fanboy, in part because I was sweaty and gross for having walked to the Square in weather that reminds me of nothing so much as a Louisiana swamp, and in part because I got into my head that "No fans before coffee" was an entirely sensible idea.

I doubt I would have had much to say beyond "Hi Holly... Love your work" anyway.

oh, but she would have talked your ear off about whatever's in her head at the moment.

...which would have been awesome if I hadn't already been late for work. Still, I think I chose poorly. ^^

There's always a next time. From what I could gather from the band's website (which could really use an "About Us" page unless I failed to find it), she seems fairly down to earth. A "Hi Holly, great work" probably works well on either side of caffeine. With more of my friends and family approaching their ends each day, a kind word to those few souls about whom I give a hot damn needs no calling card.

On that point: Love the posts this week. Yay foodblogging!!

Weird thing is that I know people who know her, and I've passed up at least one opportunity for an introduction. I'm not entirely sure why. Never really got rid of the shyness, I guess.

I have this fabulous image of you running up to her an going "OMGSQUEE I HEART YOU" and then running away as she tries desperately to figure out what just happened. :)

By the way, vietnamese coffee has always been my favorite. Excellent choice, sir.

I can taste the cuteness.

It's delicious, as cute things are. :)

I think the word you're looking for her is "cuteliciousness," which I use often in referencing my cat. In the privacy of my own home where no one can see. Except the lovely boy I share my home with.

I'm currently tossing the term "deliciniquity" around in my head.

I also think the last letters of my words are on strike today. ;p

I'm assuming that you're talking about Holly.

There are too many spaces in the squee, and not enough camphone.
