Malingering - A little less than a happy high

Malingering
Today is one of those days where I feel hopelessly cut off from everyone. There's this weird, creeping self-doubt that has me wondering if I've burnt one too many bridges or misspoke one too many times.

Not to worry. I'm sure it will pass. I just find the phenomenon interesting.

I'm kind of wondering whether it has something to do with not having cooked my own food in so long.

Current Mood: blah blah

And I've totally been hanging out with clayrobeson too much. I just got a song snippet in my head. It -sounded- like Danny Boy, but the words were:

O Peter-Boy, the Fry's is calling you....

Weird, huh?

Thanks

I've found that's easy to do.

It took me a moment to remember what Fry's was, which is odd since it's been the one thing about CA I've talked about most.

(I'm such a dork.)

You should fix that by setting fire to the deli section at the local supermarket.

I had already planned on going all ninja with the sushi maker at the Porter Square Shaws. It's not quite as sure a thing as cold cut arson, but there is a very real possibility of my dramatic unmasking after I've been defeated in single combat.

Those sushi chefs are a wily bunch.

Or maybe they're Spies.

*hugs*

No way... I'm totally the spy in that scenario.

Unfortunately, I'm an evil spy who's out to steal the secret techniques of their school, which can only mean that I will either get beaten up or will have to explode to make good the escape of my compatriots.

I see.
But if you get beaten up I'll totally have to cut 'em.

See, that's where the sequel comes in: Sushi Chef II: Return to Porter Square.

And it's good to know that someone's looking out for me. ^_^

I love vacations, but there is something odd about not cooking in a long time.

This is a new thing too cause it never bothered me in college. : )

Cook, man, cook away!!

I'm reminded of "Swing Away" from Signs.

I can only hope that I'll be attacked by aliens and the way I'll be able to defeat them will involve capers and balsamic vinegar.

"Take us to your leader"

Splash!

"Nnnnnnggggggg! How did they now that capers sautéed in balsamic vinegar was our only weakness!!!!"

Gak, gurgle, SSsssss...

Capers: they're the new jade. : )

Maybe we should suggest as much to the Rings story team. I can already envision a Yasuki caper merchant card...

While that feeling sucks, I definitely think that it can be a good thing sometimes. Being overly confident for any long period of time can lead to delusions, methinks. A little self-doubt should be sprinkled in for good measure.

Heh. I think I've got that angle covered. ;)

komos From: komos Date: August 6th, 2003 05:36 am (UTC) (Link)

Yes!

I did. I meant to say something sooner than now, but have been distracted. Short answer... it's really incredibly good, bordering on super awesome (kind of like robot monkeys). Thanks so much.

I'm still working on a playlist for a return. I'm anxious to see what you think of what is sure to be a weirdly eclectic mix.

Hey, you get bonus points for using Merriam-Webster's Word of the Day in your subject line!

Er, wait. Word of Yesterday, actually. Not so many points.

I hadn't known, though the title is still apt.
