Today's pressing questions
1) Just exactly who are the Dresden Dolls? Why do I find the aesthetic of their promotional images so compelling? Who do I have to kill to hear their music?

2) Has burkean picked up David Bowie’s new cd?

3) Why does this numerical disparity occasionally disturb me?
Comments: Posted: 2,440 - Received: 1,938

4) Why do I keep waking up at 3:30 AM?

5) What’s the maximum attenuation the yeast in the mugwort ale should have achieved?

Current Mood: Don't ask why. I've no idea.

So many questions left unanswered...

It's just something I thought of the other day when I saw an enormous display advertising the release.

'Course, I still snigger when I think of Fashion

Re: So many questions left unanswered...

thanks! i must confess i thought of you this morning because Udo, my cat, was sitting on my chest at 4am and i saw black and white on top of me and i thought "Komos, get off of me! I can't breathe." But that's because Udo is the same color as a panda... but smaller. and doesn't eat bamboo. oh. wait. yes he does.

Re: So many questions left unanswered...

Well, that's ok. I don't really look like a panda. Except for my ursine build. And the dark circles under my eyes.

'Course, now I'm curious. Have I ever shared why I started using this icon? (I lose track of the stories I tell... Today, I was also wondering if I had ever talked about the "Liturgical Supply" store on my street.)

Re: So many questions left unanswered...

fair enough. i can't say i look much like a catbus, though. *sigh*

i've actually never learned the mystery behind your icon nor about the liturgical supply store. but i look forward to hearing it.

though i love the Genma icon, your The Scream icon is one of my all time favorite icons.

4) It must be because you are innately worried about being added to people's friends list and then dropped while you are sleeping.

;P

That's got to be it. Tricksy hobbitses!

...or maybe I just fear retribution for all that cock-punching I've been threatening to do.

The frozen bride makes music.

The Dresden Dolls are fantastic. The only CD you can get now are their "collected recordings," but the band is having the grand CD release party at the Paradise tomorrow night. You might as well wait for that!

Amanda Palmer, the lead singer, was the 'frozen bride' in Harvard Square for several years. Remember her? Standing up on that big box, moving only when you put some change or bills in her collection cup...

They put on an *amazing* live show. They really did deserve that 'BCN Rumble win this year.

I knew someone would come through

You know, I thought she looked familiar. I just could not place her. Depending on the scheduling and availability of tix, I may have to go check them out.

Thanks much!

Re: I knew someone would come through

They are throwing this neat costumed cd launch at paradise tonight, just opposite Alex an I saying goodbye to malden.

Sigh

We will be lonely in our goodbye saying.

Re: I knew someone would come through

Well, that being the scheduling thing...

They're local, so I'm sure I'll be able to catch them later.

Re: I knew someone would come through

Basha and Caytana are going to the CD launch. It is supposed to be really cool with period dress and stuff. Seriously, you should go. Besides, we are not starting till 9 so people can always roll in late.

Dude, I am so not equiped to do period dress. In fact, I'm likely to be "that guy" - too old and not dressed appropriately.

Then come eat cake.

No dress code, no kids.
